Description

Bob is a 30ft Springer narrowboat that has had extensive works and renovations over the last 18 months while being moored at MGM Boats in Leicester. These improvements are listed later in the advert.
Bob has been used as a liveaboard and is also great for leisure and cruising due to the small size and ease of handling.
Entering the boat from the stern, first is the galley with a range of cupboards and drawers. This leads to a 3 seat sofa which pulls down into a double bed.
This leads on to a separate shower enclosure, a door to a good sized wardrobe and another door to a portapotty and wash basin.
Finally we come to the saloon with a formed seating area that includes a 3-4 seater plus a 2 seater opposite.
This could easily be converted into a cross double with minimal work.
This leads to the centre double bow doors onto the front well deck.

Bob has had a new 240 ring main fitted and modern metal fronted sockets installed.

The lining out is all original, good condition tongue & groove which could be modernised with paint if required.

Construction

The stern has had new plating (not overplating) and the following steelwork has been completed.
New keel cooling tank
New counter Uxter plate
New lower counter plate
New weed hatch
New fuel tank
The rest of the hull has been inspected and is only missing 1-2mm overall.
Bob was repainted 18 months ago, sprayed in 2pk at MGM Boats.
The hull was blacked in December 2024 and had 6 x 2.5kg anodes fitted at the same time.

Engine(s)

The Thorneycroft Mitsubishi 20HP engine is in good working order and condition. It has re4cently been removed, inspected and all ancillaries replaced.
The engine room has had a complete new re-wire and the starter and leisure batteries have been replaced in a new battery box.

The current Boat Safety Certificate expires in 2028
